Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern all contracts between Salzmann Distillery AG ("Salzmann", "we") and buyers ("you", "customer") via the online shop and direct orders.
1. Scope & Contract Formation
Swiss law applies exclusively. A contract is formed upon receipt of an order confirmation by email.
2. Minimum Age — Alcohol
The purchase of spirits requires a minimum age of 18 years (Art. 41 AlkG). By placing an order, you confirm that you are of legal age. Salzmann Distillery AG reserves the right to request proof of age and to cancel orders without valid proof.
3. Prices & VAT
All prices are in Swiss Francs (CHF) including statutory VAT where applicable. Shipping costs are shown separately before checkout is completed.
4. Shipping & Delivery
We ship within Switzerland and to selected countries. Dispatch occurs after payment is received. Delivery times are indicative only. Salzmann Distillery AG accepts no liability for delays caused by third parties. International shipments may be subject to import duties payable by the buyer.
5. Right of Withdrawal
Consumers resident in the EU generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. This right does not apply to sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and whose seal was removed after delivery (Art. 16(e) Directive 2011/83/EU). Opened spirits are therefore excluded from the right of withdrawal. Customers resident in Switzerland are subject to the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR); no statutory right of return exists for non-defective goods.
6. Warranty & Defects
Defects must be notified in writing within 7 days of delivery. In the event of a justified complaint, we will, at our discretion, provide a replacement or refund the purchase price.
7. Limitation of Liability
Salzmann Distillery AG is only liable for damages caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Liability for slight negligence and indirect or consequential damages is — to the extent permitted by law — excluded.
8. Privacy
The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, accessible via the footer of this website.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
Swiss law applies exclusively, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Raron, Kanton Wallis, Schweiz, unless mandatory statutory provisions require otherwise.
10. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
