Eleven churches, eleven fountains, eleven towers: Solothurn made an identity out of a number. That our winter gin Hiemalis distils exactly eleven botanicals is coincidence — but the kind that makes a good story at the Aare-side bar.
Johann Gin is made in Raron in the Valais: distilled on a base of Valais wine, in small batches on a copper pot still, with botanicals like Valais apricot, blueberry, larch wood and gentian. Three gins, three characters — the fruity Rarner, the wintry Hiemalis, the clean Solstice.
