From the Rhône valley to Zermatt
Whoever travels all the way to Zermatt wants the real thing: mountains that are no backdrop, and products from here. Johann Gin is distilled half a train hour down the valley in Raron — with larch wood and gentian from this very alpine world. Après-ski with a certificate of origin.
The distilling happens at Salzmann Distillery in Raron — a family operation in the heart of the Rhône valley. Valais wine replaces neutral spirit; the botanicals come from the valley and the mountains above. You can taste it: soft entry, alpine profile, long finish.
