Zurich knows good gin. Ours comes from the mountains: Johann Gin from Raron in the Valais — distilled on a Valais wine base, shaped by alpine botanicals, available at selected Zurich stockists and in the online shop.
Valais craft gin for Zurich bar culture
From Langstrasse to Seefeld, few Swiss cities live cocktail culture as intensely as Zurich. If you run your own home bar here, you look for character rather than mass production — which is exactly why we distil in Raron, in small batches, on a copper pot still.
Instead of neutral spirit we use a base of Valais wine. It gives our gins a soft, almost creamy texture that carries a Dry Martini just as well as a rooftop gin and tonic.
Three gins, three characters
Rarner Gin is our fruity alpine classic with Valais apricots, blueberries, ginger, chili and larch wood. Hiemalis is the spiced winter gin with cinnamon, cloves and hibiscus. Solstice builds on gentian and the wine base — clean, bitter, elegant.
